In recent weeks our technical staff have been busy in remote northwest WA turning on our latest creation. The solution we have provided utilises the best available in IP based systems for alarm management, CCTV and audio/intercom and we have integrated them together for seamless operation by security staff with a new head end system that is proving to be the "ducks guts" for simple and intuitive control of these complex systems.

Our installation staff have done a fantastic job it what has proven to be very trying conditions (try 42+ degrees in the sun with 80% humidity!!). They can be very proud of this result as we are equally proud of their efforts and achievements.

To assist in maintaining these systems in the future we have even built our very own "fence washer" as seen in the photo.

As we have all no doubt read in the paper and seen on the news the men and women of this Government Department have been run of their feet of late with a constant supply of customers for their unique services.

Amidst all the chaos and mayhem DIAC have turned to Security & Technology Services to provide leading edge security solutions to their Immigration Detention Centres as well as provide ongoing technical support and maintenance.

The Australian Security Industry Association Ltd (ASIAL) awarded Pacom Systems the prestigious Integrated Security Solution Award at the 2010 Australian Security Industry Awards for Excellence. The award was brought about by the project undertaken by Pacom's Diamond Value Added Reseller, Security & Technology Services at the Royal Darwin Hospital.

Security & Technology Services designed and implemented an innovative upgrade project to the hospital's security, access control, and CCTV systems to bring the site to the fore front in the latest integrated electronic security technology.

The national award recognition highlights our commitment to bringing cutting edge solutions to the market.

It is fair to say that Indigo Vision are market leaders in IP Video Compression Technology and we are quickly expanding our range of clients using Indigo Vision TCP/IP CCTV technology.

Keywatcher is a highly secure storage container for your key storage solutions, the product is favoured by institutions such as Department of Defence, Correctional Services and anyone that has expensive master key systems. Security & Technology Services have recently undertaken training and received certification as approved installers of Control 4 Home Automation products. American based Control 4 is primarily an Audio / Video management system however it is highly flexible and has additional products to control lighting, air conditioning, gates and a myriad of other devices. We have now completed several installations and found the system to be very flexible and reliable.

Security & Technology Services has been awarded the Telstra Northern Territory Business of the Year award for 2008. After winning their category where three other Territory business had made the finals, Security & Technology Services were awarded the 2008 Panasonic Medium Business of the Year for businesses employing between 21 and 200 employees the company was announced as the overall winner.

George Rakkas and Greg Ireland were both "over the moon" with the win and both of us cannot thank our staff enough for their efforts in promoting and supporting our business through the tough times and for going above and beyond the call of duty!

The National finals were held in Sydney on October the 10th and while Security & Technology Services were not amongst the winners, we did have a great time. We met Telstra CEO Sol Trujillo and Federal Minister for Business Dr Craig Emerson, Prime Minister Mr Kevin Rudd was there, along with Olypmic swim team members and Jamie Durie of Backyard Blitz fame.

We would like to congratulate all of the other finalist and the winning companies who are all very deserving of there success.
