Security & Technology Services welcomes the following new staff to our team

Our growth in Darwin is still impacting on us all the time and we try had to balance work and life for those employed here. Finding new staff is never easy and we have recently employed 5 more additions to our installation team  Ryan, Nahum, Ross, Theo and Sean are helping to expand our capability and will be vital to us being able to deliver our current and future commitments.

We have added our fourth apprentice to the team. Jobe Rout has joined us and is keen to learn our trade. Good luck Jobe, welcome aboard and we look forward to teaching you over many years to come.

Well Christmas has come and gone and the new year has brought several new faces to the Security & Technology Services team, this is a particularly exciting time for us because we are starting to feel (for the first time!!) that we have finally achieved the balance that we have been looking for. Joining us from a long term career within the NT Government is Barry Brown, Barry has commenced as a Project Manager and brings with him a wealth of experience from technical roles within Correctional Services and the NT Police Department. Also starting is a young man named Michael Mitchell, Michael joins us from down south (yes another Mexican!) where he has been in a technical support role for a regional Victorian company, he has a sound understanding of the electronic security industry and adds further capability to our installation and service departments.

Down in the Adelaide Office the team welcomes Shaun Cummins, Shaun is a welcome addition to the Installation team which is bursting at the seams with work at the moment.

We have welcomed a few more people into the Security & Technology Services family and these are Dianna Lietis, Dianna has joined us as our Service Coordinator for the NT taken much of the workload from Annette Henschke and allowing Annette to concentrate on the developing Adelaide office. Deb Schapel now has some much needed administration support from Asad Khan. Asad is originally from Pakistan, loves working with numbers and he has a constant smile on his face. Cricket season around here will always be interesting with us Aussies being surrounded by South Africans, Indians and Pakistanis.

Another new team member is in our Adelaide installation team and his name is Mike Jones. Jonesy has been around forever (we worked together back when I was an apprentice!). Mike adds considerable experience to our Major Projects team in SA.

There have also been additional staff in Darwin, Steve Aulden has joined the team. Steve is focused on some of our larger projects.

We also have a soon to be staff member, Nigel Smith and his family are on their way from the UK to join us (more cricket season bets to make!). Nigel is very experienced in the industry and will add considerable capability to our service team.

Another one of our staff is moving on, Craig Curby has decided that he has had enough of ladders and roof spaces and is taking over his families business of trophy making and engraving. Good luck with the business Curbs we will miss you around here, trust me you always know when Curbs is in the building!!

Down in Katherine Alex has been struggling away to keep his head above water (so to speak) and he finally has some support to help. Bart Smets has joined the Katherine team to assist Alex with the increasing workload and provide support to our clients. Welcome Bart!

Its a bit rare around here but one of our staff members is leaving us, at least in this case he has a good reason!! Harry Box joined us as an installation technician 16 months ago when he rocked into Darwin on his around Australia trip, he obviously fell in love with the place because he stayed! Harry is a very infectious character and has the funniest sense of humour, he has been a pleasure to work with and we have enjoyed every minute of getting to know him. He leaves us with him new love Jess who he met through one of the girls at the office, they are continuing their trip around Oz so look out world here they come.

We also welcome three new staff members, Ashley Blundell, Glen Stevens and Vijaya Palagugu.

Ashley has joined us in a junior administration support role and she will grow into a valuable member of our team.

Vijaya (VJ) is a young engineering graduate who has joined Security & Technology Services in a project support role. VJ will assist and learn about system design, documentation and project delivery and improve our performance in this important area.

Glen has joined our installation team and will continue add to his knowledge of communications cabling.

Those of you who are in phone contact with us will at some stage end up speaking with Annette Henschke, just talking to Annette will make your day! Annette is coordinating our service work and keeping our clients up to date with what is going on, she will also play a part in our marketing activities and sales support. Welcome to STS Annette.

We also have recently employed two young Territorians as apprentices, Matt Simons and Tim Grant (along with 3rd year apprentice David Taylor) will be the future of our Company and we look forward to teaching them our good habits!!

Down in Adelaide we welcome the arrival of Gerard Smith, Gerard has a long history in the Security Industry and has considerable knowledge and experience. As the business grows in SA we expect more technicians to be employed to support our clients and for Gerard to take a senior role in our development.

Also in Adelaide, joining Greg Hoskins as joint Managing Director is Stuart Thomson. As many of you will know, Stuart has spent many many years (too many to mention!!) at Rexel Video Systems and has been responsible for developing a great team and a sound business. We believe Stuart will bring these qualities to what is already a strong unit and take a leading role in the development of our future business.

The Darwin Installation Department welcomes Bernie Ivinson to the team, Bernie is a very experienced installer with many years experience in electrical and data cabling.

We also welcome Keith Bear to our sales team, Keith is a technician by trade and has a wide variety of experience in technical fields. Due to our rapid expansion we have been finding it difficult to service our existing clients and it will be Keith's focus to ensure we do not let this happen again!!
